Kelly Osbourne and Sid Wilson’s Name Change Decision
In 2022, Kelly Osbourne and her partner Sid Wilson welcomed their first child, naming him Sidney Wilson. However, Osbourne had reservations about the choice of name and found it challenging to persuade Wilson to modify it.
The Conflict
On a recent episode of “The Osbournes” podcast, 39-year-old Osbourne opened up about what she described as “the biggest argument” she and Wilson had. “I wanted our son to have both of our last names, but Sid was adamant about just using his,” she shared. “We had a major disagreement. I felt like I was pushed into accepting something I wasn’t comfortable with, and that’s something I’ll never fully get over, though we’ve managed to move past it.”
Finding a Resolution
Initially, Wilson was opposed to the idea of adding Osbourne’s surname, but after numerous conversations and some couples therapy, he eventually came around. The couple decided to amend their son’s name to include both of their last names. “Since we both contributed to creating our child, he should have both of our last names,” Osbourne explained.
