Many admired her in the 1980s, but see her now…

Linda Kozlowski achieved global fame with her role in “Crocodile Dundee,” starring alongside Paul Hogan. This film was a major milestone in her career, but after the “Dundee” series and a few other projects, she gradually retreated from Hollywood.

Born on January 7, 1958, in Fairfield, Connecticut, Kozlowski pursued acting at the Juilliard School, where she graduated in 1981. She began her career in off-Broadway productions and later secured minor roles on Broadway and in television, including the TV movie “Death of a Salesman” with Dustin Hoffman.

Kozlowski’s path to stardom wasn’t easy. She moved to California after working as a waitress following her role in “Death of a Salesman.” During this period, Dustin Hoffman, who had become her mentor, and his wife provided her with a place to stay in their Malibu beach house. It was from there that she went for an audition that changed her life.

Hoffman recommended her for the role of Sue Charlton in “Crocodile Dundee.” The film was a huge success, earning over $320 million on a $10 million budget and making Kozlowski a star almost overnight, especially in Australia where the film was released first.

Despite her success, Kozlowski felt overlooked in Hollywood. She appeared in the “Crocodile Dundee” sequels but declined many offers that typecast her. After the third “Dundee” film, she decided to quit acting.

In her personal life, Kozlowski married her co-star Paul Hogan in 1990, and they had a son named Chance in 1998. Their marriage ended in 2014.

After her divorce, Kozlowski chose to live life on her terms. She received a significant settlement and shifted her focus to Morocco, where she met tour guide Moulay Hafid Baba. They quickly connected and made a significant life change together.

The couple founded the luxury travel agency Dream My Destiny in Marrakech, designing personalized travel itineraries. Kozlowski’s life shifted from Hollywood to the beautiful landscapes of Morocco.

Though she has left acting, Kozlowski’s legacy as Sue Charlton in “Crocodile Dundee” remains. At 63, she enjoys an adventurous and fulfilling life in Morocco, finding real life more rewarding than fiction. Her experience in the travel industry allows her to create memorable experiences for others.
