Ozzy Osbourne Declines Johnny Depp for Role in His Biopic

Regardless of our age, everyone has opinions, and sometimes we hear others’ views in bold and expressive ways. Ozzy Osbourne is definitely someone who isn’t shy about sharing his thoughts when he feels strongly.

A biopic is currently in development about Ozzy Osbourne’s life and his relationship with his wife, Sharon. There has been talk of Johnny Depp potentially portraying Ozzy in the film, but Ozzy isn’t particularly excited about that idea.

It’s not surprising that someone would eventually decide to turn Ozzy’s life into a movie. He’s certainly lived an eventful life filled with extraordinary experiences.

As a rock star, Ozzy and his band were notorious for their wild behavior, including hotel room destruction and other outrageous antics. The list of unusual and sometimes illegal things Ozzy has done is quite long.

In a recent interview about the upcoming biopic, Ozzy expressed his opinion:

“I don’t want someone like Johnny Depp to play me. I’d prefer someone who is relatively unknown. I’m not concerned with it being a huge hit; I just don’t want it to be over-the-top and fake.”

Details about the film are still sparse, but it’s expected to highlight some of the most fascinating moments from Ozzy’s life, including his battles with addiction and perhaps some lesser-known stories.

Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy’s wife, also commented on the film. She emphasized that they want the movie to be authentic, not overly polished like “Bohemian Rhapsody,” the biopic about Freddie Mercury’s life.

She stated, “Our movie needs to be much more raw and real. We’re not aiming for a clean-cut version that’s suitable for kids. This is a film for adults, made with an adult audience in mind.”
