Soldiers are among the bravest individuals globally. These remarkable men and women willingly risk so much for their country’s sake, often without expecting anything in return. The loss of any soldier’s life is always a poignant moment. Arlington National Cemetery, spanning 624 acres and tracing its origins back to the Civil War, stands as a testament to the sacrifices made by these soldiers, with its multitude of white headstones.
“Taps” has been a poignant melody played during military ceremonies since the Civil War era. It holds significant importance in honoring fallen soldiers during funerals. The buglers of The United States Army Band, known as “Pershing’s Own,” carry out over 5000 missions annually in Arlington National Cemetery, located in Arlington, VA.
